In order to encourage and inspire the young and budding researchers,the society holds, during its annual conferences, a special session of paper presentation competition. During this session, various prizes are to be awarded to the best research papers presented. This special session will be held as a part of academic program with no other parallel sessions. Following will be the areas and the groups for these prizes:


(i) IMS Prize Group 1: Discrete Mathematics (Combinatorics, Graph Theory and related areas) .
(ii) IMS Prize Group 2: Algebraic Geometry, Geometry, Topology,Algebraic Topology, Differential Geometry and related areas.
(iii) IMS Prize Group 3: Measure Theory, Probability Theory, Stochastic processes and related areas.
(iv) IMS Prize Group 4: Differential/Integral/Functional Equations and inequalities, Numerical Analysis and related areas.
(v) IMS Prize Group 5: Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics Electromagnetic Theory, Magneto‚Äź Hydrodynamics, Astronomy Astrophysics,   Relativityan related areas.
(vi) IMS Prize Group 6: Operations Research, Optimization Computational Mathematics, Information Technology, Biomathematics, History of Mathematics and related areas.
(vii) AMU Prize: Algebra, Number Theory, Lattice Theory, Set Theory,Logic and related areas.
(viii) V.M. Shah Prize: Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Functional Analysis,Harmonic Analysis, Approximation Theory, Special Functions and related areas.
