The department of Applied Mathematics teaches various courses in Mathematics and Statistics to undergraduate and postgraduate students of different engineering departments. The Department also offers facilities for research leading to Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics. Faculty members are having research collaboration with different National and International Institutions. The Department has a reasonably good computing facility with Internet connection. The interests of the staff members primarily lie in the areas of fluid mechanics, differential equations, generalized functions, general relativity, cosmology and Numerical Analysis. |
